International Summer / Winter Sessions

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) has become an increasingly popular study destination for international students. It is the mission of the Office for International Education (OIE) to internationalise the NMMU campus, and we strive to make the NMMU the most internationalised university in Africa.

The OIE at the NMMU is delighted to be able to offer students from all around the world an unforgettable experience by means of a variety of short programmes. Students on the Short Course Programmes will not only have access to all the NMMU academic courses, but they will also be exposed to South African society. Students will indeed be privy to a UNIQUE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE.

The OIE works together with global partner institutions and NMMU academic departments to conceptualise programmes that are academically sound, appealing, well-planned, cost effective and efficiently executed. We encourage you to come and spend 3 - 8 weeks in one of the most beautiful, and fascinating, areas of South Africa.
